Klášterecká pobočka České pošty sídlí v krásně dochovaném objektu městského klasicistního domu z přelomu 18. a 19. století s pozdější úpravou fasády. Local branch of the Czech Post is housed in a beautifully preserved building of the town Classicist house from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries with later modification of the facade. The building co-creates the character of the Klášterec urban conservation area. The storeyed corner house with a gable roof stands on a rectangular longitudinal ground plan and dates to 1800. On the ground floor there is an arched gateway of the passage. The municipal police station is now located in the courtyard. The object is built of mixed masonry and burnt bricks. The facade is lime plaster coated in a pleasant green shade. The house is already drawn in the imperial maps of a stable land from the 1840s of the 19th century.

V budově pošty sídlí též městský úřad a policie. Najdete zde i pohřební službu.
The post office also houses a municipal office and police. There is also a funeral service.

Dnes v budově sídlí Městská Policie, Sociální odbor MěÚ a v přízemí pošta a pobočka pohřební služby.
Although it is an 18th-century building today, its history is much longer. It was here that the provostship of the Postoloprt Benedictines stood. This vicarage (small monastery) gave the town its name - Claustrellum (1352), Closterlin (1356), Claustralium (1399), Closterlij (1356), in Claustrello (1363) to today's Klášterec nad Ohří. Of the small church, hospital and monastery buildings, only the cellars remain, which are the oldest part of the city. There was also the first burial ground between today's building and the chateau park (skeletal finds in the 1970s). Today, the building houses the Municipal Police, the Social Department of the Municipal Office, and on the ground floor there is a post office and a funeral service branch.

I didn't like the way the lady at the post office (she worked here for a long time) was arrogant towards the old lady, who had a badly filled out form. The lady had a problem writing the form, but this lady was not able to help her.
