About Liberec Zoo
Rok 2020 byl pro Záchrannou stanici ARCHA opět velice náročný. Přijala v něm totiž rovných 1800 zvířecích jedinců, což je zatím nejvyšší číslo v celé její čtrnáctileté historii. Více než polovinu z toho tvořili netopýři hvízdaví, kterých bylo rekordních 910 jedinců.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The pleasant place, where you can spend several hours. The zoo is not so small and bad as they wrote. I don't understand, why the zoo is marked with one star. It's really not so bad. There are interesting animals and birds, some kinder corners, several places for a coffee break and having lunch. Animals are cute. Here you can see a white tiger, an Indian elephant and many other interesting animals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very sad place to visit... Animals dont have enough space or activities. You can see that those animals are disturbed about too small spaces. Its awful to see the pain of those animals. Dont go there so they have to shut down the place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a nice little zoo. Animals over there look pretty comfortable and red pandas are so awesome. Kinda scary is that one cage that shows how animals are treated like sixty years ago.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s worth a visit, unfortunately they couldn’t speak english, only czech and a bit german. The windows were so dirty, that we couldn’t see some animals as we wished

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The only reason I am giving 3 stars is the fact that animals are in horrible small cages and pens. Animals are looking bored and sad. Specially elephants, which are the most smart and sensitive mammals , I seen the same elephants in the same small yard even after 13 years that's the time when I visited zoo last time. They are still there at same small place, looking very sad, why you don't swipe their yard after few years with some other animal? Just to keep their mind busy, to explore and to be happy ? I have seen 1 elephant repeatly doing one move with head and front legs which is sympton of nervosity and psychical problems . Other one was lions and tigers behind the glass, no grass no space to run or jump on the trees . Yes it's nice to see them, so you keep them on eyes, but behind a glass and such a small place ? We will understand if we don't see them, just let them be more free . They have no privacy no relax just stress . Monkey at photo was also pretty bored, I think if he got some hay or some bedding will be more soft and fun for him to play in it.
Zoo also looked kinda dirty in yards with animals, and stinky a lot more like in other's zoo's. Otherwise I like that zoo, there is a lot of things for kids to do, a lot of animals but I feel sorry for small yards .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible condition for the éléphant and giraffes. Is not possible to have 1 or 2 bushes to keep it a bit wet ? 100 % minéral area and no activity they get totally lethargic, these are not natural animals at all, rather something like robots. also very small bath for sea lions, same for eagles

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice zoo with special white tigers - the main attraction. Definitely worth visiting while in town. You can spend there like 2 hours. The cats seems to have a smaller rooms that I would expected. That’s actually similar for all animals here - you would think they should have more space but yeah, it’s a zoo ??♂️ there is only one restaurant and one cafe so when visiting during weekend the line was ridiculous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the oldest zoo in Czech republic, and it shows. It's not big like some other zoos, so you can see it all in 2-3 hours. The location is beautiful, with hillside paths, natural stream and the lake. The animals are well kept, even though during the winter many of them are confined to small enclosures or even absent at all.
