★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like the layout of the café, the management succeeded in creating a truly friendly and welcoming environment. When you pass by and peer in trough the windows, you fancy going in for a coffee and a chat. However, this is only one part of the story.
Service is terrible. During my first visit I asked the waitress for a recommendation; she said everything they serve is amazing and then pointed at the most expensive item on the menu - couldn't she be bothered or doesn't she know what she sells? I gave it another go a week ago to leave disappointed again. Both glasses I was served were broken and I managed to cut myself before noticing. I brought that to the attention of the staff. The waitress shrugged her shoulders and said 'must be the dish washer'. No apology, and I was charged full price. Accidents happen but the staff need to know how to respond - unfortunately, here they fail on every occasion.
With that said, I am awarding 3 stars because of their produce quality. Hot chocolate I ordered was very tasty. It was not very sugary but rather bitter, surprisingly thick with chopped nuts.
