★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aladdin's cave probably looked like this strage, fashinating shop. Mostly books, in number of thousands. Mostly in Czech language, but I found a first edition of Graham Greene here, published in n.y. in the '50s. Sometimes, Czech glasses & ceramics. Prices incredibly low. Mr. Novak speaks just Czech but understands Russian, and beyond his rude appearance is always kind & ready to help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A secondhand bookshop with unique atmosphere and mountains of books. One just cannot leave without a book or two. Memento of times when people were reading stories and learning new things, not only consuming cheap news.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't be intimidated by this shop...it looks like there couldn't possibly be anything good in there, but the owner has a surprisingly very high quality selection of books. But the key is you HAVE to know at least generally what it is you want, and let him go inside and retrieve it for you. I got the feeling he did not want me to go inside and jumble up the chaotic collection of books because he knows exactly where everything is so let him get it...he will bring out the most wonderful surprises!
