ASTORIA HOTEL PRAGUE - Rybná 680/10

The rooms were nice and clean but the sounds from the street were very audible - bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Generally, the staff does not seem very hospitable and welcoming and are not as service-minded as would be expected. Breakfast is good but ran out of croissants later during service. We wore face masks but this wasn't enforced by staff which seemed strange since it was mandatory indoors at the time.

Visited Prague on February 2022 and the hotel was amazing. Clean sheets, room service every single day, super breakfast to start your day. What disappointed me is that my reservation was for 263€ and I was charged 291€ because PoS there to change the currency from CZK to Euro needs 20€ commission LMAO. I can't rate it in Booking because it won't allow me so I'm rating it here . Customers need to know it's better to pay by cash and via credit card. Something that Booking won't tell you. 3 stars because the hotel didn't charge me the remaining 204€ as arranged via Booking messages but re charged the whole amount to win like 11€ more due to currency value at that day. Don't measure customers like money. You'll be the visitor one day ?

Lovely hotel in the centre of prague. 15 minutes walk from the train station and around 25 minutes from the airport (with taxi). The room was specious and we had even an additional bed for our child. All was clean and the room was equiped with a TV, hair dryer, a safe and a Minibar. It was not a noise room and the bed was comfortable, so that we had a good sleep all night. Breakfast comes in a big variety from sausages and baked beans over different kind of bread and croissants to Joghurt and cornflakes. A lovely staff is there to make sure, nothing is missing. The location is great for a Prague trip, as it's good located in the city centre. Restaurants are directly around the corner or on the other side of the street. The market place is around 5-10 minute walk away and the bus 194 that brings you on the other side of the river and also passing by the market place (with the astronomical clock and the St. Nicolas Church) is just a 5 minute walk away.

Very nice hotel, very close to city center. Rooms were warm and clean with impressive bed and bathroom. Quiet enough for me, tv could be better, but we slept well, and had a hot bath that is very refreshening after a long day in Prague. WIFI was average but you could easily communicate send emails and surf at any time. Breakfast was a bit short of stuff but let’s not forget that we are living in a world pandemic crisis so I was happy at all times.

I was expecting more from a 4 star Hotel in a big city. The reception staff was very unfriendly and not wearing mask when walking outside the desk. No-one asked to look at our covid pass. The toilet paper is rough enough to polish wood with. The breakfast was ok and the staff there was so quick to clean of the tables. Really nice even it it was very crowded. There was signs about keeping distance and wear mask but there wasn't any way of keeping good distance and some guest were not wearing masks. There was dirty tissues etc near the elevator on the floor and the receptionist walked by without notice. But if you're not picky, the price is OK and the location is good and central. Will not come here again.

In this hotel good is only location and choices of breakfast. Don’t choice this hotel because: 1. When I have booked a room on booking.com I had to pay 191.01 euros with all taxes. When I came to the hotel for check in on reception was told to pay 198 euros. I've asked what the reason and I had a confirmation. The reason was-increased the size of the taxes and they didn't care about my confirmation and reservation from booking.com. I've paid 198 euros and began to chat with booking.com about this but nothing! Till now I have no answer from the booking.com why my total amount increased. P.S. 7 euros not much but it could be more . Do confirmation from booking.com in this hotel costs nothing. 2. On reception I've received a key from my room- and the room was not the same as I've booked : it was old and with tree beds. I've asked to change a room like in photos from booking.com. On what I've heard: " Don't look to this photos on booking.com-it is just an illustration!" I was shocked and asked why you cheat people?! But no answer was on this. They give me other room and it was newer. 3. I could not connected to WI-FI and I've asked on reception for a help. And even in this they could not help. The woman on reception said : " Look, my phone connected , what's problem with yours I don't know". I asked maybe someone else could help but of course nobody was. 4. The personal in this hotel is very rude and from the first step to this hotel was feeling like I came to their house and they didn't want to see me and waiting me to go away. Personal speaks English not good, no one will help you, always with such face "what you want". The personal from the bar are eating breakfasts with you, the cleaners in the hotel in Russian are talking how they are tired and should bring breakfasts to the rooms and all that travellers got them. SO, I really don't know who is writing such positive comments or maybe they do this themselves or have some deal with booking.com.
