Základní kámen byl položen 18. 7. 1890 a 6. 9. 1891 byla škola vysvěcena biskupem slánské kapituly Jakubem Kandlerem. Ve válečném období ji navštěvoval i Ota Pavel, po němž je pojmenována. Dnes slouží více než 400 žákům z Buštěhradu i okolí.
The beginnings of education in Buštěhrad date back to 1690, but this building was not made until 1891. The foundation stone was laid on 18 July 1890 and on 6 September 1891 the school was consecrated by the Bishop of the Slaný Chapter, Jakub Kandler. During the war, it was also visited by famous writer Ota Pavel, after whom it is named. Today, it serves more than 400 students from Buštěhrad and the surrounding area.
