Nově opravené perony, opravená čekárna. Ale teď v době covidové tu chcípnul pes
Newly repaired platforms, repaired waiting room. But now, at the time of the covid, the dog was stuck here

Indoor and outdoor waiting room (with roof), free toilets. Tickets are not sold here, they are bought only on the train.

The town of Bechyně is beautiful, both for walking, water tourism or holidays. Nature, water, monuments.

Pěkné klidné městečko. Na náměstí výborné Informační centrum. Pořádají okružní jízdy městem, prodávají vstupenky na zámek, nabízí mimo jiné i prodej keramiky.
Nice quiet town. Excellent information center on the square. They organize city tours, sell tickets to the castle, offer, among other things, the sale of ceramics.

The oldest electrified line in the Czech Republic ends (and begins) - the other end is in Tábor. Driving it along its entire length is a nice experience. It takes about 45 minutes and in summer it can be diversified by boarding a historic train. The journey is then a hair longer.

A town of pottery ... picturesque. In addition, the castle has a mini café with souvenirs and delicious desserts.

Bechyňská unikátní dráha. Nejstarší elektrifikovaná trať u nás. Krásné město, pro milovníky dopravních staveb doporučuji most (autor sám Křižík) a pro milovníky přírody údolí Lužnice.
Bechyně's unique track. The oldest electrified line in our country. A beautiful city, for lovers of transport constructions I recommend the bridge (author Křižík himself) and for nature lovers the Lužnice valley.

The original railway station was built according to a standardized building model by the private company Družstvo bechyňské dráhy. The electrified line from Tábor, where the line of the company Emperor Franz Josef's Railway passed between Vienna and Prague since 1871, became the first of its kind in Austria-Hungary and in Central Europe in general. Entrepreneur and inventor František Křižík played a significant role in its construction. In 1928, after the newly opened Bechyně bridge, the railway was terminated closer to the town, which extended the length of the line from 23 to 24 kilometers. At the station, there are two uncovered edge platforms for passengers, and crossings over the tracks are used to get to the trains. Access to the station building, as well as to both platforms, is not barrier-free.
