Nová Briketa, menší prostor za to dobrý pivo, příjemná obsluha. Stojí za to se tam stavit, ať už na pivo, nebo skvělou kávu a dozvědět se nové příběhy z místního prostředí.
New Briquette, less space for good beer, friendly service. It is worth stopping there, whether for a beer or a great coffee and learn new stories from the local environment.

Starou Briketu jsem miloval, podobně jako další (bohužel postupně mizející) autentické (nejen pražské) podniky. Novou si netroufám hodnotit bez osobní návštěvy. Přestože je mi obecně trend přestavby starých putyk s historií protivný, webové stránky popisující záměr a cíle projektu, mě navnadily veskrze pozitivně. Prozatím dávám 5* za starou Briketu, novou event. přehodnotím později po návštěvě
I loved the old Briquette, as well as other (unfortunately gradually disappearing) authentic (not only Prague) companies. I do not dare to evaluate the new one without a personal visit. Although I am generally annoyed by the trend of rebuilding old roads with history, the websites describing the intention and goals of the project have enticed me in a very positive way. For now, I'm giving 5 * for the old Briquette, a new event. I will reconsider later after the visit

Very small local dive bar. We got glared at by the drinkers, but the barman was friendly.

Famous (for me) for its appearance in an episode of the TV series 'Dom Joly's Happy Hour', where Dom found the locals enjoying a PRE-work drink at 8am! There's a tram stop right outside, so I dropped in (at a more reasonable drinking hour of midday) as I was passing. The beer is VERY cheap here - i paid 21kc (about 60p at time of writing). There were already a couple of (presumably) regulars in a state of inebriation even at that time! It seemed to be very much a bar for the locals, with frankly not much to recommend it other than the cheap beer. I sat quietly, drank my beer and left. Still, it was good to visit it, even if they no longer have Dom's business card on display.
