★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La puerta de Budějovická construida entre 1598 y 1602, es la única de las nueve puertas que tuvo la ciudad que se conserva.
Sin dudar ha sido el recuerdo mas profundo que tendre de esta maravillosa ciudad, para mi gusto la mas bonita de la República Checa.
La mencionada puerta tiene dos fachadas completamente distintas.
La que nos encontramos para entrar a la ciudad es la típica puerta de una fortificación, austera y seria.
Por el contrario la fachada que nos conduce a la salida, es todo lo contrario.
Cuatro ventanas dispuestas de dos en dos con adornos renacentistas y un modesto reloj de sol en mitad de las mismas, produce el efecto que te encuentras ante una amplia sonrisa, como si te dijera que algún día tienes que volver. Una sensación extraña pero a su vez mágica.
The Budějovická gate built between 1598 and 1602, is the only one of the nine gates that the city had that is preserved.
Without hesitation it has been the deepest memory I will have of this wonderful city, for me the most beautiful in the Czech Republic.
The mentioned door has two completely different facades.
The one that we find to enter the city is the typical gate of a fortification, austere and serious.
On the contrary, the facade that leads us to the exit is the opposite.
Four windows arranged two by two with Renaissance decorations and a modest sundial in the middle of them, produces the effect that you find yourself in front of a wide smile, as if to tell you that one day you have to return. A strange but magical sensation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Budějovická brána byla postavena v letech 1598 - 1602 podle návrhu Benedikta Cometty nákladem Petra Voka z Rožmberka. Český Krumlov měl původně devět bran, které byly součástí městského opevnění. Osm z nich bylo v 19. století postupně zbořeno a jako jediná zůstala právě Budějovická. Mezi ostatními krumlovskými branami, jejichž vzhled je zčásti znám z historických vyobrazení, vynikala smělým architektonickým řešením a renesanční malířskou výzdobou.
The Budějovice Gate was built in the years 1598 - 1602 according to the design of Benedikt Cometta by Petr Vok of Rožmberk. Český Krumlov originally had nine gates, which were part of the city fortifications. Eight of them were gradually demolished in the 19th century and Budějovická remained the only one. Among the other Krumlov gates, whose appearance is partly known from historical depictions, it excelled in its bold architectural design and Renaissance painterly decoration.
