The first construction project was prepared by the town builder (and in 1886-97 by the Vršovice mayor and chairman of the local school board) Bohuslav Holeček. Because the amount for the construction of the building seemed too large to the city council, they decided to build two smaller buildings - a general girls' and a burgher boys' and girls' school. The plan was implemented by municipal engineer Josef Tampier. Today, the building houses the Vršovice Business Academy, founded in 1965. V roce 1896 se usnesla městská rada ve Vršovicích postavit novou měšťanskou dívčí školu. První stavební projekt vyhotovil městský stavitel (a v letech 1886-97 starosta obce a předseda místní školní rady) Bohuslav Holeček. Protože se suma za provedení budovy zdála městskému zastupitelstvu příliš velká, rozhodlo se postavit dvě budovy menší - obecnou dívčí a měšťanskou chlapeckou a dívčí školu. Plán realizoval obecní inženýr Josef Tampier. Dnes v objektu sídlí Obchodní akademie Vršovice, založená v roce 1965.
