★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Důl Zárubek byl černouhelný důl zbudovaný v roce 1857 Severní dráhou Ferdinandovou, která odkoupila kutací jámu poblíž řeky Lučiny, kde byly v roce 1844 objeveny dvě kamenouhelné sloje.V roce 1926 byl důl Zárubek sloučen s dolem Alexander. Konečná hloubka těžní jámy dolu Zárubek byla vyhloubena do 834,4 metrů. V roce 1945, byl důl znárodněn a od roku 1946 začleněn do OKD Ostrava. V roce 1967 došlo ke sloučení dolů Petr Bezruč, Zárubek a Alexander pod název Důl Ostrava. V roce 1990 došlo v dole k požáru, který se nepodařilo uhasit a důl byl postupně zasypáván a to až do druhého patra. Těžní věž vysoká 37,6 metrů byla v roce 1998 odstřelena a povrchové objekty zbourány. To co zbylo je jen kolo lanovice, který jako památník připomíná tehdejší slávu dolu. Důl se ztratil, jako se ztratily příběhy těch, kteří zde pracovali a v okolí žili.
 Zárubek Mine was a coal mine built in 1857 by the Northern Ferdinand Railway, which bought a digging pit near the Lučina River, where two coal sloje were discovered in 1844. In 1926, Zárubek Mine was merged with Alexander Mine. The final depth of the Zárubek mine shaft was excavated to 834.4 meters. In 1945, the mine was nationalized and since 1946 incorporated into OKD Ostrava. In 1967, Petr Bezruč, Zárubek and Alexander were merged under the name Mine Ostrava. In 1990 there was a fire in the mine, which could not be extinguished and the mine was gradually filled up to the second floor. The 37.6-meter high tower was blasted in 1998 and the surface objects were demolished. What is left is just a wheel of the cable car, which as a memorial commemorates the mine's glory. The mine was lost, as the stories of those who worked here and lived around.
