Unfortunately it's closed during the week, although google shows it's open. Called the owner/tenant and let him know. Hope he changes it for other visitors. Were not alone on a mountain. Definitely recommendable for the weekend ;)

Kaminofen. Netter Service, lecker tschechisches Bier!! Hab mich echt wohl gefühlt. Vieleicht sollte man was essen was zwangsläufig frisch is wie Pizza, oder wo es egal ist wie beim Gulasch... (Personal & Karte zweisprachig - mit deutsch kein Prob). Toller Berg!!!!
Maybe it was due to the circumstances that it was a foggy November day, but the food was probably not warmed up but rather "forgotten on the stove" (which was probably even intentional with the sauerkraut). So that's why I wouldn't go up there again. However, the shop itself is full of communist devotional objects, which alone would be worth the trip. Clocky and cozy !! Fireplace. Nice service, tasty Czech beer !! I felt really good. Maybe you should eat something that is inevitably fresh like pizza, or where it doesn't matter like goulash ... (staff & menu bilingual - no problem with German). Great mountain !!!!

Kouty i Plzeňský pivo dobrý, jídlo normální, brzo došly jednotlivé položky z lístku.
Kouty and Plzeňský pivo are good, food is normal, individual items on the menu soon ran out. Prices reasonable for a bistro on the hill near the lookout tower, on the other hand, it behaves like a stall, so actually a bit higher than they deserve. Perfect retro interior including socialist literature, a must see :-)! But I still don't understand why they can't jump out and serve the garden when everyone on the other side of the border can do it. Big minus. The queue at the counter poisons, the bartender pours homemade lemonade between beers and makes coffee from a slow-brewing kettle, so you stand in line seven-eighth and wait a quarter of an hour. So it gives me a weak average, there is no reason to go back.

Urig...
Quaint ... Authentic ... casual atmosphere that invites you to linger ... great food ... what's just there is served on the table ... according to the motto. Whoever comes first, paints first ... nice area to sit outside ... also a real eye-catcher inside

Koutské pivo is regularly on tap, and unusually tuplák on request (it will certainly come in handy for large thirsters). There is a choice from the relatively rich menu. portions are decent, prices reasonable. In fine weather, you can sit outside and gather strength for your next journey. The interior is decorated with artifacts of socialism, perhaps too much.

Topp!
Great! Great authentic location up on the summit of the Bohemian Forest. Nice decor of the bistro with many memories of the cold war. The dishes are simple but delicious and everything is freshly made. The prices are extremely cheap by German standards (beer + 2x coke + pizza + omelette for € 13.50).

The place has undergone fresh alterations in the form of demolition of military facilities, so the final landscaping and repair of the remaining buildings is yet to come. The bistro is really very big retro, the repair is still waiting for it, but that doesn't change the fact that you will be well rewarded for a demanding climb.

This place has a very unique atmosphere. Partially because of the oldschool communist decorations, but mainly because it is run by people who clearly love and believe in what they do. The food is homemade and delicious, service is super friendly and even though the bistro is situated on the top of a mountain, which makes the transportation of goods a bit difficult (mainly during winter time), they offer a good variety of food and drinks for good prices including vegetarian options. You definitely need to try the "Chodsky kolac" a homemade cake that is traditional in this area of the Czech Republic. I totally fell in love with this place and I won't hesitate to climb the mountain again in order to come back! :)
