★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cheap Pilsner Urquell and Gambrinus, and one of the closest pubs to the centre that caters for locals. Comfortable seats, and a friendly enough atmosphere in a country where tourists are tolerated rather than welcomed. Would strongly recommend the walk up the hill outside the expensive, pub-free middle class desert that is central Karlovy Vary.
