Chateau Lešná - Štípa

It is amazing in all directions. There is really something to look at in the castle. And there is also something to listen to - an engaging guide. No ban or surcharge for photography! I guess the toilets are probably not there, but it doesn't matter - there are several of them scattered around the zoo, they are free and clean. And all for a couple of 230 in a large zoo

Very nice castle in the middle of the zoo. The castle is quite modern, during the tour you can see various gadgets. An amazing lady guide who spoke and was definitely not boring. We will definitely be back, we would be interested in an extended circle ?.

The castle was built by the Seilern-Aspang family at the end of the 18th century. In 1886, the Seilerns decided to build a new, more representative castle, the old castle building was demolished and a new, today's castle was built in its place over the years. It is built in a mixed historicist style - neo-Gothic, Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Baroque. The new lock was very comfortably equipped. In almost every room of the chateau you will find richly carved wooden coffered ceilings, the walls are covered with wood paneling, all made of stained Slavonian oak. All wooden paneling and ceilings were made in Vienna according to precise plans and transported in parts to Lešná and assembled there. The dominant feature of the entrance hall is a beautiful spacious staircase leading to the count's rooms. On the ground floor, the Seilerns welcomed their guests, on the first floor were the count's living quarters, and on the second (attic) floor were mostly guest rooms. A boiler room and kitchen, storage and operating rooms were set up in the basement. To prevent food from getting cold from the basement during the trip, an elevator connected the kitchen and the first floor. The food was served in the dining room upstairs. There is a large folding table in the dining room, which can be quickly dismantled. The largest room of the entire chateau is the so-called Hall of Ancestors, in which portraits of the original owners of the chateau, Counts of Seilern, have found their place among the wooden ceilings and walls. In the room called the pool room there is a pool table, which can be very easily turned into billiards.

A beautiful castle in the middle of a beautiful zoo. Closed in the winter months. Otherwise a wonderful place for weddings.

Tickets are best bought at the entrance to the zoo as a combo for a discounted price, 230 crowns are written on the Internet, but it was 240 Czech crowns. Still better than you should buy the entrance to the zoo via the Internet (190) and then only at the castle entrance to it for 60 crowns (a total of 250).
