Quietly relaxing place at any time of day, the Tatras took place here, which fit perfectly with their atmosphere.

The park is very pleasant, due to the fact that it is located next to one of the busiest roads in Liberec, there is a very pleasant calm and the park is relatively maintained. To the city center is a beautiful relaxation area with benches. It just doesn't enchant the place so much (maybe because it's autumn and winter is starting, and in addition the surroundings of the former gallery, which is basically connected to the park, are being repaired). I don't know what else it was, maybe the surroundings. Maybe also because the park is small and not isolated from the surrounding buildings, and this creates the impression that the park is part of the city. It sounds strange, but the genius loci of this place is more "urban" than castle, and therefore does not have the wow effect, what is an amazing place in the center, This impression is also created by the slow decay of the castle, which is a pity. In any case, it is a nice photogenic place, which is definitely worth a visit, it's great that there is something like this right in the center.

V roce 1986 ho získal Skloexport a přestavěl ho. The Liberec Chateau consists of the old Redern and Nostic Wing and the New Castle. It was built in the 16th century, destroyed by the fire in 1615, except for the castle chapel. Redern family built the castle again. It gained a classicist form in the 18th century. The castle belonged to the state forests and also to the Mechanical and Textile College after the Second World War. In 1986 it was awarded by local glassmaker Skloexport and rebuilt again. After the end of Skloexport company, the castle was bought by Usti Development for less than sixty million crowns. Park at Liberec Chateau is now accessible - the city has now agreed with the park owner to extend the rental of land for an indefinite period. People can use the park all year round. The Liberec Communal Work is responsible for it´s maintenance.
