A beautiful place to visit. Large garden with roses. You can only take photos inside where the guide tells you and in the chapel. We were certainly not the last time ? We also praise the guide and the lady at the box office.

The Rococo pearl of Žatec, which is definitely worth your attention and visit, even though the chateau is still being reconstructed and especially the facades definitely deserve it. In addition to sightseeing tours, you can also visit the terraced castle garden and enjoy the view of the castle in peace. A little bit of history: Around 1600, a late medieval fortress of the Kaplíř family from Sulevice stood on the site of today's chateau. The chaplains held Stekník until the beginning of the Thirty Years' War, when he was confiscated for religious reasons. In 1681, Jan Jiří Kulhánek, a wealthy citizen of Žatec, bought the remains of the burned-out fortress. He built a chateau in the High Baroque style on the site of the fortress. In the second half of the 18th century, under his grandson Jan František sv. of the Lord of Klaudenstein, the Rococo renovation of the building is taking place. Stekník has held it since 1760, in 1772 he received the title of count for his family and in 1775 he strengthened his status by merging with the important count family of the Hohenembs (by marriage to Maria Francisco, Countess of Hohenembs). In 1796 he sold Stekník, a knight to Josef Korb of Weidenheim. The chateau was owned by this North Bohemian family until 1892. After that, it was inherited by the Hennet family.

The castle is located in the hop-growing area. The interior is gradually getting a new coat, but it is still worth a visit. The castle's garden is surrounded by various types of roses. It is definitely worth a visit.

The castle and the tour exceeded my expectations, nothing much from the outside, at the moment they are targeting repairs to the interior. The extensive castle garden is also worth a visit.

The tooth of time has signed on the exterior, but the interior is worth seeing. The garden full of roses invites you to relax.
