About Church of Saint Ludmila
Existují místa, která působí mimořádnou silou. Od nepaměti je člověk vyhledává a vnímá u nich, že jej v prostoru i v čase přesahují. Tím místem je kostel. Pro milovníky architektury je úžasnou stavbou, pro historiky svědectvím minulosti. Pro věřícího člověka je domovem i hradem. Je-li člověk poutníkem v čase, vidí vše, co je k vidění, vnímá genia loci, ducha, sílu i směr, poselství Boží i lidské. Na tomto místě to dokáže silněji prožít. Možná se mu nedostává slov, aby svůj prožitek pojmenoval, ale ví, opravdu ví, o čem je řeč.
Kéž Vás naše webové stránky více přiblíží k našemu kostelu sv. Ludmily na Královských Vinohradech. Je to místo duchovní, krásné a plné lásky. Je tu síla domova.

This large, twin-spired, Neo-Gothic church is the focal point of the square of Namestie Miru. It is not an ancient church, being built in the late 1800’s, but it is quite impressive, with many stained glass windows and with the entire church being covered with artworks or decorative patterns. It is easy to get church fatigue in a city like Prague, but if one has not yet tired of seeing churches, this one is a good example of Neo-Gothic.

The entrance is free.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A magnificent church and must-visit stop for any visitors of this area of Prague! Its stained glasses are extraordinary and you can even buy a souvenir-collectible coin with a design of the church for just 2 euros! Definitely worth visiting!
