Kościół Św. Wawrzyńca znajduje się na środku rynku - Placu Masaryka. Wybudowany prawdopodobnie w 1310 roku został zniszczony w pożarze dwukrotnie w 1441 i 1570 roku. Kiedyś kościół trzynawowy a obecnie jednonawowy z pięciokątnym gotyckim prezbiterium z oparciami i dwiema wieżami po bokach. W okresie Bożego Narodzenia w kościele możemy zobaczyć szopkę z 1857 roku.
The church Wawrzyniec is located in the middle of the market - Masaryk Square. Built probably in 1310, it was destroyed in a fire twice in 1441 and 1570. Once a three-nave church and now a single-nave church with a pentagonal gothic presbytery with backs and two towers on the sides. At Christmas, we can see a crib from 1857 in the church.

Krásný kostel na náměstí odkud je vidět i na zámek. Od náměstí vede 300 schodů k zámku.
Beautiful church on the square from where you can see the castle. From the square, 300 steps lead to the castle.

Pěkný městský kostel. Lze pochválit to, že je kostel přes léto otevřený a uvnitř je příjemný průvodce. Za pozornost stojí moderní skleněný oltář a pulpit, velmi vkusné, zapadá do ostatního mobiliáře.
Nice city church. The church is open during the summer and there is a nice guide inside. Worth seeing is the modern glass altar and the pulpit, very tasteful, fits in with the other furnishings.

W 1441 r. kościół spłonął, a następnie został odbudowany. Kolejna przebudowa miała miejsce w latach 70. XX wieku. Po wielkim pożarze miasta w 1663 roku kościół odbudowano w obecnej formie, wieże zniwelowano i wyposażono w deskowanie stropów, dachy gontem cebulastym i kopuły. Wysokość wież, popularnie zwanych Adamem i Ewą, wynosi około 40 m. Piękny kościół
The Church of St. Lawrence has been standing for over eight centuries in the center of Masaryk Square at the foot of the castle standing on a high rock. The church was built in 1310. Consumed by fires like many other churches from this period. In 1441, the church burned down and was then rebuilt. Another reconstruction took place in the 1970s. After the great fire of the city in 1663, the church was rebuilt in its present form, the towers were leveled and equipped with ceiling boarding, onion-shingled roofs and domes. The height of the towers, popularly known as Adam and Eve, is about 40 meters. A beautiful church

Namesti Masaryka, Nachod’s pretty market square is lined with an ensemble of beautiful pastel-coloured houses that display a breathtaking variety of gables and pediments, none less than 250 years old. On one side stands the Town Hall with its colourful facade embellished with a collection of life-size allegorical figures in different poses while on the opposite side stands the Art Nouveau Hotel U beranka, a colossal yellow building that occupies almost one long side of the square. The centerpiece (yes, it dominates the centre) of the square is the parish Church of St Lawrence, a curious-looking building with a shingled roof and two squat bell towers. The 17th-century church you see today is not the first raised on this site. Both the original and other subsequent constructions went up in flames and so the church had to be rebuilt repeatedly. The cross-plan design of the building is simple, the architecture Spartan and the decorations plain and austere. What makes the church unusual is the pair of large wooden onion domes that top the bell towers. The dark colour of the wood provides a startling contrast against the stone colour of the bell towers. The church has two doorways. The main entrance (kept closed except on special occasions) is located symmetrically between the bell towers. Opposite, only a short distance away stands the imposing Marian Column, an impressive stone statue of the Virgin embellished with angels and floral displays. The other doorway (the one that is opened for service every evening) is at the rear of the building. The interior decor is pure Baroque. The highlight inside is the superb altarpiece on the high altar, a frame-gilded chiaroscuro painting that depicts the martyrdom of St Lawrence. The baptismal font you see at the back of the main aisle is original and dates back to 1463. In the sacristy, one can see on display a set of antique Gothic monstrances, chalices and old ecclesiastical vestments.
