V roce 1666 byl barokně přestavěn interiér kostela. Jednou z nejvýznamnějších památek interiéru jsou zrestaurované barokní varhany z dílny loketského varhanáře Abrahama Starcka z roku 1668. The Romanesque Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built between 1154-1204 and is preserved on the original Romanesque ground plan including Romanesque masonry. In 1666 the interior of the church was rebuilt in the Baroque style. One of the most important monuments of the interior is the restored Baroque organ from the workshop of the Loket organist Abraham Starck from 1668.

I přes barokní úpravy tohoto kostela zůstala ona cisterciácká podstata zachována spolu s románskými prvky. Jedná se o jediný takovýto dochovaný kostel u nás. The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is a Romanesque basilica built according to the principles of Cistercian architecture, the form of which settled in the middle of the 12th century. Despite the Baroque arrangements of this church, the Cistercian essence remained preserved along with Romanesque elements. It is the only such preserved church in our country.

Je postavený ve tvaru kříže, podle zásad cisterciánské architektury a jediným, takovým, dochovaným v Čechách. Rodina Stretti již jeho přestavbu neuskutečnila, Josef II. klášter zrušil.
