Původní románská stavba z roku 1225 byla postupně goticky přestavena na konci 15.století, barokně na konci 17.století. Pokud se zadíváte na kostelní okna, můžete vidět původní románská okna, dnes zazdeněná. Ke kostelu vede schodiště s výklenkovými kapličkami. Za kostelem stojí samostatně dřevěná zvonice. O historii stavby se dočtete přímo u kostela na vývěsní tabuli a také se můžete rozhlédnout po kraji na Železné hory z místní vyhlídky. Krásné místo. On the hill above the village of Libčany is a beautiful church, which is really worth seeing. The original Romanesque building from 1225 was rebuilt in Gothic style at the end of the 15th century, in the Baroque style at the end of the 17th century. If you look at the church windows, you can see the original Romanesque windows, now gazed up. A staircase with niche chapels leads to the church. Behind the church stands a wooden bell tower. You can read about the history of the building right at the church on the notice board and you can also look around the region of the Iron Mountains from the local prospect. Beautiful place.
