★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Informační centrum sídlí v budově Staré radnice z roku 1659. Obnovená byla po požáru 1665 a v roce 1856 byla přestavena pro potřeby okresního soudu. Dnes je zde i depozitář městského muzea.
The Information Center is housed in the Old Town Hall building from 1659. It was restored after a fire in 1665 and in 1856 it was rebuilt for the needs of the District Court. Today there is also a depository of the city museum.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ve 13. století byl na skalnatém ostrohu nad řekou Metují vybudován hrad střežící průsmyk z Čech do Kladska a v údolí pod ním město, které dostalo jméno Náchod. Největší průmyslový rozvoj město prožilo na přelomu 19. a 20. století v souvislosti s rozmachem textilního průmyslu. Dnes je správním, kulturním a hospodářským centrem celého regionu. Na zdejším zámku lze obdivovat řadu vzácných kolekcí, sbírku květinových zátiší a portrétní galerii Piccolominiů, kteří byli majiteli Náchodu v 17. a 18. století.
In the 13th century, a castle guarding the passage from Bohemia to Kladsko was built on the rocky promontory above the river Metují, and in the valley under it the town, which was named Náchod. The city's biggest industrial development was experienced at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries in connection with the expansion of the textile industry. Today it is the administrative, cultural and economic center of the entire region. There are a number of rare collections, a collection of floral stills and a Piccolomini portrait gallery that was the owner of Náchod in the 17th and 18th centuries.
