Cukrárna U Hrdinů - Uhrdinu.cz
Rovnou se přiznáme, že s provozováním cukrárny máme nulové zkušenosti. Šli jsme do toho z pocitu, že je to správná věc, a taky protože máme zkušenosti s výrobky, které jsou poctivé a jen ze základních surovin, a s citlivým restaurováním.
Martin již pět let vyrábí vývar SILÁK, protože mu chyběl vývar, který by byl tak dobrý, že by se dal pít. Jen z kvalitních surovin od místních farmářů, prostě jako byste si ho udělali doma, kdyby na to byl čas. Malvína se po vystudování restaurování na AVU podílela na obnově mnoha historických skvostů v Praze a celé ČR, které díky ní získaly zpět svou původní krásu.
Krása se podle nás schovává i v té naší cukrárně, je však trochu schovaná pod nánosy času (a cukru ?). Lidé se nás ptají, co plánujeme. V prvé řadě se chceme opřít o zkušenosti našich cukrářek (jedna v cukrárně pracuje 19 let a druhá skoro 26 let) a mít poctivé recepty a tradiční sortiment, jako jsou koláče, buchty a vánočky. To vše v atmosféře 50. – 60. let a s velkým důrazem na kvalitní suroviny.
Budeme rádi, když nám dáte vědět, co byste nechali a co změnili. Na vaší zpětné vazbě nám záleží, proto Martina můžete často potkávat za pultem a jakmile malá jen trochu povyroste, tak tam uvidíte i Malvínu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A cake shop since 1956... Coffee, trees, and lots of cakes. Apparently largely unchanged since it opened. No English spoken. Right across the street from the National Gallery. From another age... The original owner's diploma noting his graduation from culinary school in 1937 hangs on the wall. More awards from the 40s and 50s hang on the walls. There's something vaguely Soviet bloc AND Habsburg about this place. Definitely worth crossing the street from the gallery. Cheap and sweet and d'autrefois.

Really happy that I saw the new owners are trying to keep this awesome place! Big up! Can't wait to see how they are actually doing!
