★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Že na hradech, zámcích a podobných stavbách jsou portály zdobné, takříkajíc načančané, je samozřejmé. Sloužily přece k sebeprezentaci majitele. Ale že krásně zdobný, dodneška bytelný je klasicistní portál zde u Dědičné štoly v Oslavanech, to už možná tak samozřejmé není. Vždyť to je záležitost ryze technická - štola sloužila k odvodnění šachty a byla dlouhá přes tři kilometry. Úctyhodné. Ani si snad neumím představit, že byla vykopána ručně a jak už tenkrát bylo zvykem, také velmi rychle.
Všem tehdejším horníkům skládám tu nejhlubší poklonu.

But the fact that the classicist portal here at Dědičná štola in Oslavany is beautifully decorative, still durable may not be so obvious anymore. After all, it is a purely technical matter - the adit was used to drain the shaft and was over three kilometers long. Venerable. I can't even imagine that it was dug by hand and, as was the custom at the time, also very quickly.
I pay my deepest respects to all the miners of that time.
