Diskoduck - Karlova 184/12

Use to be one of my favourite shops for vinyl. Quality has gone way down, I think they are really trying to target the tourists here considering the location and pricing. The owner isn't interested in helping anymore from the looks of it, luckily a new younger employee has been hired for the shop. I bought some "Autographed" vinyl albums a few years ago, all failed authentication from PSA/DNA and Roger Epperson authentication, looks like they are purchasing them from a UK supplier who are forging the items. According to some other locals they are charging folks 100 CZK just to listen to a record? Kinda crazy considering it's a "Music" shop. Reading the other reviews on here and it seems like the owner is leaving some nasty comments which is extremely unprofessional and tells me everything you need to know about this shop. It's a shame this place has gone so far down hill, it used to be great. I spend my money at Aurora Records in Narodni Trida and CD Music Bazaar by Wencelas Square now. Much better selection, quality, and pricing. (Note of warning, if a "Record" shop tries charging you to listen to a record, you've probably got the wrong place". I will no longer be visiting Disko Duck. So if the owner decides to read this, do yourself a favour. Step up your game, and attitude :)

Very impolite clerk (owner?), barely interested in selling what the store might offer. Plus, paying 100CZK or 4€ just to listen to the conditions od the records? Unheard of... try other shops in the city, they’re a better choice.

Rude guy, ignored me as I spoke right to his face, get help buddy… A lot of reviews are saying the same about you, take responsibility.

Never happend to me in Vinyl Store that you are Not allowed to Listen the vinyl before you buy them !! „You can Listen when you Buy them“ makes no Sense !!!!! Not that for What Vinyl Store stand for ?unfriendly … always was Buying Stuff there when in prague but Not anymore !!! He Had a chance making money with me but he didnt used it Must be allready a Rich guy And no iam not a Fake User !!!

Terrible customer service, no spare turntable for prelistening, the fella working here is rude and if you want to prelisten on a deck managed by him, he tells you he does not have time LOL. Don’t waste your time and omit this place

Lots of great records, prices can be high. Guy working there needs to get some lessons in how to be friendly to customers. He's so disinterested that it's almost worth going there just to see him.

Pretty easy to find, but please remember they are located in the courtyard, so you won't see the shop right away even if Google maps show that you are there - I attached several photos that should help you find the place. Inside quite a selection of different genres, most of the records are in good condition, but for 100cz you can you a turntable to make sure the record plays ok (if you make a purchase you don't have to pay for using their turntable). Owners seem to like good hip hop and they blazed 2Pac from vinyl all the way I was there. Owners are friendly and accept credit cards. You'll find a little bit of everything: funk, dnb, house, techno, euro dance etc. Worth visit. Recommended!
