★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I totally agree with Lisa. ''Do not come here unless you like to get told to get out of this country and go back to where you came from''.
Family with children and foreign tourists aren't welcome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would like to warn everyone considering going to Dobroty ze zámku. PLEASE DONT. We have experienced the worst apple strudel ever and especially the worst owner/waiter ever. We asked what kind of cake he had there and pointed out at it and he answered in the rudest way that its not a cake but some honey dessert. How we are supposed to know what kind of food is that and actually, he is supposed to explain us in a nice way as we are the customers. Maybe he is taking advantage of this place being right at the castle but doesnt care about the customers. Overpriced for the quality, poor quality of the food and the rudes staff ever! Avoid it as when you leave the castle gate going to Latrán, you have a pleasent kind of French style cafe right there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a bad deal! I wanted a bottle of water so for a plastic bottle of still water .33l that I was going to take away, not dine in, sit at a table, etc. I walked in since all the items on their outside menu seemed reasonable enough. I asked how much for the water and the lady mumbled something, handed it to me, twisted off the top and then said 75. Seriously? They were going for 25 at the tourist info place right across the way, but I felt bad since she had twisted it so I paid the 75. Lesson learned, hopefully you will learn from my mistake!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The chef berated a child into tears. No, really. A friend of mine went here for lunch and ordered a plain hotdog, but even though we requested no ketchup, they still put it on the sausage. Then, when we asked for something to wipe it off, the chef pointed at her and yelled "this is how we do it here!" and kicked us all out of the restaurant.
do NOT go here. Ever.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not come here unless you like to get told to get out of this country and go back to where you came from. Lovely way to treat tourists, isn’t it? I witnessed a little girl get shouted at and reduced to tears for asking for a plain hotdog in Czech by an apparent Czech friend. When she got it full of condiments and the mother politely asked if they could have something to scrape it off with as they ordered it plain, the man behind the grill with the dirty hands and filthy apron started to shout at the woman and then the poor child who ran out in tears. I left without ordering.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were in a party of 9 and got kicked out because we took a chair from another table (which was ok by the guy on that table), our dog was not welcome, neither were we. We were yelled at for the whole square in Czech which we don't even understand. The only thing that came out of the owner in English was:'go back to your country'... A little weird to treat your customers when you live from tourism. I would definitely NOT recommend this business (unless you like to get treated this way)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst place to visit if you come to Prague. The overall impression about Check Republik changed as soon as we visited this cafe. It’s located in a nice place in the center, however, as soon as you get to know the owner you realize that it didn’t worth it. The owner and chef is rude and racist. He doesn’t respect other people and says whatever comes into his mind. He used swear words in front of children and made us leave without letting us order anything. Till the rest of the day our trip was ruined. Never coming back to that place ever again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner is extremely rude! We went in to order something for our children since they were very hungry and the rain was pouring outside. The owner told me that the empty table was reserved. Then we said fine, we just wanted to order something to go. At that time he started yelling at us to get out. My wife tried to explain that we don't want to sit down and just wanted to order something to go for our children. But the owner didn't listen. He even spat at my wife and pushed her. The owner apparently doesn't welcome anybody who does not speak Czech. DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE YELLED AT! Check the other reviews to see similar experiences by other visitors.
