Jde o jednokolejnou celostátní trať, jež původně vedla přímější trasou východním směrem od obce a teprve v souvislosti s rozšiřováním letiště došlo k jejímu přeložení do nynější trasy. Doprava byla v tomto úseku zahájena roku 1966. Přístup na nástupiště není bezbariérový, odbavení probíhá až ve vlaku.
