★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Konventní budovy začaly vznikat současně se založením města. Byla pro ně vybrána plocha na západním okraji městského areálu s bezprostřední vazbou na opevnění města. Z roku 1267 (dva roky po zahájení výstavby areálu) existuje zpráva hovořící o tom, že tu Přemysl Otakar II. založil kapli svaté Markéty. Společně s částmi opevnění jde o nejstarší gotickou stavbu v Českých Budějovicích. Dnes se v klášteře (chráněném jako kulturní památka České republiky) nachází základní umělecká škola.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Základní umělecká škola, která si zaslouží pozornost studentů i ostatních. Nejen že jde o jednu z nejstarších budov v ČB (dominikánský klášter) ale i se zde učí kvalitně a pečlivě hře na hudební nástroje. Škola i Biskupství České Budějovice se o ni stará moc dobře.
An elementary art school that deserves the attention of students and others. Not only is it one of the oldest buildings in the BW (Dominican Monastery), but it also teaches the quality of musical instruments. The school and the Bishopric of České Budějovice take care of it very well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Navštívené ke Dni památek, takže jsme se podívali i do prostor které nejsou běžně veřejnosti přístupné. Velice dobrá byla i přednáška Ing. Míchal, kterému touto cestou ještě jednou děkuji.
