Bylo otevřeno v roce 1969 a navrženo v tzv. bruselském stylu, ve volné a kreativní atmosféře 60. let, kdy se československá architektura přibližovala západu. Vše je tam nádherně zachovalé, strop, obklady, dveře, okna, jako by se člověk vrátil zpět v čase. Provoz je tam malý, služby nulové, navíc je budova otevřena jen pár hodin denně, ale když se dostanete dovnitř, ta atmosféra je úžasná. Budova je od roku 2018 památkově chráněná, takže by naštěstí nemělo hrozit její zničení. Duchcov Railway Station is an amazing and unknown gem of architecture. It was opened in 1969 and designed in the so-called Brussels style, in the free and creative atmosphere of the 1960s, when Czechoslovak architecture was approaching the west. Everything is beautifully preserved there, the ceiling, the tiles, the doors, the windows, as if one went back in time. The traffic there is small, the service is zero, in addition, the building is only open a few hours a day, but when you get inside, the atmosphere is amazing. The building has been a protected monument since 2018, so fortunately there should be no danger of its destruction.
