★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We rented an apartment built and owned by Ekostavby and in all fairness the apartment was great other than the usual downsides of living in an apartment (i.e. you can hear what your neighbours are doing). I personally liked the fact that it was a well-insulated apartment.
However, the nightmare is always in the paperwork and things got worse from there. There were a lot of conditions we had to fulfil so we needed to take time off just to have that done. Also, the rental was increased in the middle of the year and there wasn't much of an explanation (because it was stated in the contract that the rental rates will be adjusted).
The last straw came when we were asked to move out early with 15 days notice. We tried to ask for an explanation and compensation but were only given the usual apology respond in the typical template format. Firstly, it's the end of the year and our next lease doesn't start until then. Secondly, 15 days isn't a lot of time for us to plan. Thirdly, it is the festive season and thanks to them it was ruined.
I wouldn't recommend such an inflexible company, there are many other places for rent and unfortunately they are building more and more blocks so people living in the Zelene Namesti area for a more peaceful environment can kiss that goodbye as you can hear the construction and inhale the dust from a few hundred metres away.
