Základní kámen (dnes zazděn v jihozápadním rohu školy) byl položen v roce 1899, škola byla slavnostně otevřena 27. 9. 1900. Slohově jde o směs neorenesance a neobaroka. Škola má v současnosti kolem 300 žáků jak místních, tak i z dvanácti okolních obcí.
The original school in Hostomice came from 1822. The new school building was designed by the architect ing. Josef Srb from Prague Smíchov and realized by František Eliášek from Hostomice. The foundation stone (today walled in the southwestern corner of the school) was laid in 1899, the school was inaugurated on September 27, 1900. It is a mixture of Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Baroque styles. The school has about 300 pupils from both local and twelve neighboring municipalities.
