FAIRHOTEL - Rybářská 202/19

We chose this hotel because we are moving to Greece from Prague and had stopped off in Brno on the way to say goodbye to a friend, the hotel is near to his apartment and has a heavily advertised roof terrace which we thought would be ideal to relax and catch up before continuing our journey. Upon arrival, we waited in an empty reception area for around 15 minutes whilst being ignored by the staff sitting in the empty restaurant area who were obviously aware of our presence. When we were finally able to check in we were told that we could not use the roof terrace as it was too cold (roughly about 20 degrees...?) Nowhere on the website does it mention that the terrace closes at any time of year, we were very disappointed by this as again, it was one of the soul reasons we chose the hotel. Additionally, we were told that the hotel offers secure parking, we made sure to email ahead as we were moving and had literally everything we own in the back of the car and were very concerned about security, the gate to the carpark was left open for the entire 2 days we were there and to add insult to injury upon checking out we were charged for the parking. Nowhere on the website or in our correspondence were we told we would be changed for the parking. At breakfast on the first day, there was little I'm the way if breakfast left (it had obviously not been replenished at any point between 7 and 9.30), additionally, the cured meat had literally been mixed in with the cheese, leaving us as vegetarians with a choice of bread or bread. When I asked the waitress for coffee I was told to wait. Due to the lack of breakfast we then ordered lunch which my fiancé describes as having a general sourness to it, as if an ingredient was off. On the second evening we arrived back around midnight after a night out and the door was locked with nobody on reception, the staff member eventually returned and said she was in the toilet however we had been stood there for about 30 mins so not sure what happened there. I never, ever normally leave bad reviews, however I feel compelled to mention this as our stay ended up costing us over 4500czk for 2 nights not including food and drinks that we paid extra for and we were just deeply disappointed during the entire stay. Advertising as 4 star hotel and charging those prices should warrant better service.... The only positives we're the comfy beds and Gin and Tonics.

Really nice hotel close to the Brno Fairs and also the city. I am really fan of the colours used there and also design of furniture. Restaurant serves Pilsner beer and really tasty and brilliant food. And breakfast... Phenomenal!!!! I am always forcing my wife to make me pancakes for breakfast after visiting this cool hotel :)

Very nice hotel. Good restaurant. Bedroom clean and modern. Only criticism is the parking, which is very limited.

The best hotel in Czech Republic! If you're visiting Brno do yourself a favor and stay away from all those old, socialist era hotels and book yourself a room here. Truly a wellness hotel with a great restaurant, clean spacious rooms, large bathrooms with free toiletries, reasonably priced minibar snacks and staff that speaks English. Very relaxing and not far from city center.

Great service, clean facilities, delicious food, very good coffee. Check-out is at 12 which is very convenient, since you don’t have to rush to leave immediately after breakfast. I couldn’t ask for a better place to stay in Brno! Dekujeme moc and we will definitely come back!

Nice boutique hotel, clean room and bathroom, comfy bed, air conditioning at a pleasant moderate level. We were satisfied and relaxed.

Cosy rooms, comfortable beds, calm neighbourhood

We stayed one night with the family after we had to cancel another accomodation due to issues with the cleaning. But this hotel surprised a lot!!!Surrounded by quite area,familiar hotel with friendly staff. But what was really excellent,was the cleaning!!!!just perfect. I really liked that bed smells nice and fresh sa well.I Felt like I was home .Furniture new,room was spacious enough. Breakfeast was choiceable. Thank guys,you re doing great job
