If I evaluate the food, there is nothing wrong with that. Everything is excellent and the staff very nice, although the wait is quite a long time. But the background, especially the toilets, is appalling. Neglected, there is no light on them and unfortunately they are not clean.

Trochu mě zklamalo málo indické prostředí,ale jídlo výborné.
I was a little disappointed by the little Indian environment, but the food was excellent.

Velice jsme si se synem pochutnali. Příjemná změna. Po výtečném obědě jsme dostali lahodnou kávu ? Restauraci můžu jen doporučit ?
My son and I had a great time. Nice change. After a delicious lunch we got a delicious coffee ? I can only recommend the restaurant ?

Když budu hodnotit jídlo a obsluhu, tak dávám 5 hvězd. Na jídle jsme si moc pochutnali a obsluha byla fajn.. Prostředí trochu kazilo dojem jinak výborného jídla. Klasická vesnická hospoda, kde by takové pokrmy málo kdo čekal. S kámošem na pivko a něco na zub dobré - s přítelkyní na příjemnou večeři to nevidím.
When I evaluate food and service, I give 5 stars. We enjoyed a lot and the operator was fine. Classic village pub, where such food would be a few who waited. With my friend on a beer and something good - with a girlfriend on a nice dinner, I don't see it.

2nd visit - Update three weeks later: I have found subsequent visits really tend to separate the good from the better when it comes to restaurants. First visit one is excited to try something new, is often generous with praise, and admittedly perhaps a little self satisfied with one’s choice if the meal is good enough. But it’s the second visit, when the shine has diminished somewhat that really tells a more definitive story. And sometimes that second visit is not truly bad, but not so exciting and wonderful as the first, because one experiences a greater sense of discrepancy between the excitement of the first experience and the sobering reality of the second. So it was with our second visit. While the starters onion Bhaji and prokora were still excellent, both were served with the same mint sauce. Good but variety would be nice. This tendency to have only one flavor profile controlled into the main courses. “When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.” And so it was with the spicing of the grilled chicken skewers, the chicken curry and even the lamb jalfrazi; while the base vegetable sauces were different, they all seemed to be spiced the same when there should have been distinctive differences. 1st visit- Fishtail Restaurant- The best little hidden Indian restaurant you have never heard of. I have to admit I was curious. It’s not often that a restaurant outside of Prague has good Indian food, certainly not one in a tiny hamlet off the highway out in the middle of nowhere. I found this place by accident, surfing google maps for places to eat in and around Mlada Boleslav. It had surprisingly good reviews, so I became curious. Driving out of MB, you pass the Olympia shopping mall, then after about 5 kms turn off the secondary road, cross the railroad tracks, then turn off the village thoroughfare into a narrow alleyway street. Go 50m and a quick right and you’re there. Only with the google maps on, was I able to find it. The place appears to be an old hospoda caught in the 80s. We walked in and there were two doors in the hallway without markings. A man poked his head out of the second said “What you want?” “Um food…” we replied “Here or take away?”.., “Here, please…?“ Only then the door swung open and we were allowed to enter. We sat in a red vinyl booth. The interior appears unchanged from the days of the Velvet Revolution. The waiter took our drink order and brought menus. Now we are talkin’!!! Tikka, madras curries and vindaloo attract the eyes. The menu was full of potential and the staff, all natives from Nepal, inspired confidence in the kitchen’s ability. We started with chicken pakora and onion bhaji. I also had the dal soup as it’s always a good constant measure of comparison. For main courses I had chicken jalfrezi and the daughter chicken curry. Maybe these were Nepalese versions because they were distinctively different from other recipes I’ve had in other restaurants, and pleasantly so. The dal soup was creamed lentils in a strong chicken broth, well spiced. Both the pakora and bhaji came with a spicy mint chili dipping sauce. Nicely done. Plates were full with large servings. Then the chicken curry was made with a squash base to the sauce. Different and delicious. The jalfrazi was also a veggie cream base rich and full flavored, just a bit on the spicy side (just as we had asked.) The rice was perfectly cooked. Portions were ample. The owner stopped by our table excited to have a foreigner as a guest and gave us free Nepalese coffees which were exceptionally delicious. The experience was totally satisfying, even though the place didn’t match the food. The prices were 139-179 kcs for the main meals, very very low considering the exceptional quality, which easily surpassed most Indian restaurants in Prague. My recommendation is if you are planning on traveling northeast passing Mlada Boleslav, schedule a stop for lunch at the Fishtail for a wonderful meal… Just relax into the funky hospoda style and dig into one of the best curries you will find in this country.
