About Forum Karlín

Fórum Karlín bylo postaveno společností Karlín Group na pozemcích historického objektu, kde byly vyráběny moderní parní kotle společností Českomoravská Kolben & Daněk (ČKD) pro celé Rakousko-Uhersko.

Na celkovém architektonickém řešení projektu Fórum Karlín se výraznou měrou podílel světoznámý španělský architekt Ricardo Bofill. „Fórum Karlín je jedinečná industriální budova. Má práce spočívala v tom zvýraznit jedinečnost tohoto působivého prostoru a citlivě přeměnit jeho původní industriální využití. Tento projekt nového funkčního využití budovy úspěšně vyzdvihuje krásu karlínského industriálního historického odkazu“.

The best place for concert. Big entrance, big space, nice view, good acustic. I will come back.

You want to enjoy a concert of your favorite band/artist? So stay away from this place! Possibly the worst acoustically experience ever. I was there for the Evanescence concert and the experience was not satisfing at all, the voice of Amy Lee was bearably noticeable as the rest of the instruments, everything was drowned by the crazy volume of the drum. Plus the general volume of the concert was humanly unbearable. After the concert my eardrum were suffering despite the professional eartips for concerts. Awful experience.

One of the better sounding venues in Prague. However I brought a 300ml plastic bottle of water with me to keep me hydrated during a show, but upon entry I was searched and I had to discard the bottle. That was truly a "what the hell" moment for me, as I consider always having some water in my backpack a basic survival thing. I know I can get water at the bar but this wastes plastic and I have to leave the show for that, plus there's usually a queue so I cannot have a drink the minute I need it. A truly despisable money-grab tactic.

Horrible management. Understaffed as hell while the venue's full, had to wait 45 minutes to be let in, another 45 for cloakroom, yet again 45 to be served, another 45 if I wanted shots as well because this specific bartender only serves beer... I get that it's a great place to have awesome concerts and shows, but the management is just insufferable. Almost ruined a great Paul Kalkbrenner experience for our group, but thankfully PK was spectacular enough to make us forget all the unnecessary hustling.

Attended the Nick Mason concert here. Great place which is a little on the outskirts. It is a short walk from the station. Superb acoustics. Especially as they needed to be great to deliver the kind of music Pink Floyd has. Good arrangements for seating and standing. The seating was on the balconies. Simple and comfortable. Two rows of chairs in each gallery. The 2nd row is elevated above the first row so both the rows have a decent view. Avoid the very 1st balcony as the props on and around the stage may not offer you a completely unobstructed view. They have a decent menu and good clean toilets too . There's a parking lot as well. Security was great as well.
