★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Okay, this is going to be a long winded, because as a Quebecois, I've eaten enough poutines to know what makes a good one. In no way do I consider myself an expert, and there are enough variations in Quebec alone, and there's no accounting for taste, but I can break down the pout' offered here, and you can make your own decisions.
1-fries : they appeared freshly made (cut in house), and were just crispy and greasy enough. This ingredient is usually the easy one, and it gets a perfect grade from me!
2-cheese : this is often where things go wrong. But not here! It's fresh cheese curds, so they've obviously done their homework, it's the real McCoy. If it's shredded cheese or cheese sauce, it's disco fries, not poutine.
3-sauce : this is where poutine enthousiests argue the most. The gravy here is pretty thick, and a dark brown. It kinda reminds me of the sauce at Lafleur. However, it kinda lacked a little flavour. It needed a little more zing, some spice and acidity. It wasn't the worst sauce I've ever had on a poutine, but it's the only part of the poutine at Garage that could use improvement.
Overall, I enjoyed this little taste of home in Prague.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super high-quality meals! They do their own cheese and meats and gravy. There are vegetarian options (fries with their BBQ sauce) and the fries are the best in town!! Good prices too! The Mississippi Poutine reminds me of true Southern BBQ. A Prague Must.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is amazing. Friendly people, great food, reasonable prices. We had the Classic Poutine (large) - french fries with cheese curds and rich beef gravy. It was really rich in delicious sauce. You better cover the cheese with it so it melts and than you have the right “effect” ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not my taste. Price and portion is definitely OK but ingredients could be better. Cheese has no taste and does not melt. Gravy is not my taste too. Fries do not seem double smoked and home made too. Place is really nice but you cannot pay by card. Also, I could not finish my meal there, as they were closing RIGHT NOW and unfriendlied me out of the door.

I had the one with bacon, friend had the pulled beef… Happy, full bellies !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place. They were playing NY 90's funk rap which made the small space very nice atmosphere wise. The front guy was very helpful and clear. He spoke English and we got served pretty fast. Great food as well. Nicely filling. Thank you. Give the garage a try :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During lunch time very busy, had to wait for 30 minutes to got my order. That is because Poutine is very popular and really delicious. Very simple meal, pulled beef as topping on french fries with cheese and gravy. For 180 Kc perfect!
