★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful ruins of a castle from 14th century build on a sandstone cliff. The castle is freely accessible though the tower is only open during the opening hours (but free of charge).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Helfenburk is the ruins of a castle situated in a beautiful nature. The tower is accessible during the day if the weather is good and the castle lord is present. There is a fireplace in the yard - take some sausages for roasting :) The staff also sells postcards and stickers with the pictures of the castle for a symbolic price. I recommend to visit it when the weather is good, as the view from the tower is more enjoyable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic pice of medieval architecture. You can even visit the tower on weekends with fantastic views from the top. Rest is open whole year everyday. The access is little bit tricky as you walk through forest path but nothing extra demanding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ very nice ruin. when we visited a kids camp was setup in side :) make sure to watch smaller kids, there are holes and areas that are really dangerous to smaller kids (<6)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place. Great ealk through the forest and great hidden jewel. Castle built on the rocks with a chance to climb the tower and see beautiful surroundings.
