Surprisingly interesting! Altough the tour was in Czech and we got a script in Dutch, it was hard to follow. If the tour was in available in English it would have had 5 stars. Make sure you get the tour with farmacy and tombs!

Beautiful place, specially the medical plants garden

The location is beautiful! But, you can only enter by guided tour. That takes at least 1 hour. Normally that would not be a problem, but the whole tour is in Czech only! And they did not tell that up front. Our guide talked in a loud, monotone voice. During her talking we had to read all the information from a booklet in Dutch. But the order of the tour was different than the order of the infomation in the booklet. CORONA : The tour was absolutely NOT Corona proof!! Of 50 people only 5 wore a mask, nobody minded keeping any distance and we had to be in a small, confined (doors are locked behind the group) room twice. In retrospect, if I had known these things up front, I would not have spent 630 Czech crowns (2 adults, 1 teenager). This does not mean that you should not go, the walk up to the hospital and visiting all the outside gardens and statues certainly are worth your while! And free! The views are magnificent!

Recently refurbished and looking great! Also they provide many of tours inside the castle or you can visit the herbal garden with its shop. We really enjoyed just a walk around the property.

It’s a nice place to spend some time, 1-2hrs. 190kc for a guided trip (adults) is very expensive for what they offer. Just going around the hospital, the statues (copies) outside is the same. You go inside you see the same statues (original), one fancy medical shop and church where they play some musical instruments. I would say if you are there just go around and enjoy the outdoors and visit Lorical cafe down the road which has wonderful food and a fantastic view.
