★ ★ ★ ★ ★ vintage hotel, not at center of town, acceptable breakfast, being tranferred to here by Hotel Ruze because of over receiving customers. there are many better choices of hotels and hostels

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A truly ideal location for which we were glad after we found out that Cesky Krumlov is a walking town with only registered / residential vehicles permitted to go through. Many tourists were lugging their luggage through town to get to the edge of the city. Katerina who greeted us at the front reception is outstanding in her service. Cheerful, warm, helpful...she made our stay ever so pleasant! Next door at DEPO, we had our best meal in our time here. Please try it out. Our quadruple room was comfortable with 1 huge bathroom. So glad for great service, comfy rooms & great location without having to lug our luggage. Truly glad we picked this hotel!

But, our room was missing basic features from its description. No way to make a coffee / tea (not even a hot water). No clothes iron. The upper floors are indeed accessible using elevator, BUT there are additional sets of stairs to get to the room itself. Good luck if you have a heavy stroller or a wheelchair. The WiFi had a poor reception, was flaky and in the end didn't really work. The room did not have any welcome notes, no list of optional services, and I assume there simply is NO additional room service.
Also, we asked for a child bed, the request was confirmed by the hotel, but there was none in our room (of course we realised this in the evening after the reception closing hours).
Overall, with its basic features, this hotel simply does not give the impression of a 4* hotel.
