Za návštěvu stojí i oba židovské hřbitovy, oddělené od středu obce silnicí E 53. S návštěvou hradu vám prohlídka města zabere tak 2-3 hodiny, pokud ale započítám i krásné a zajímavé okolí, máte z toho celodenní výlet. Doporučuji začít naučnou stezkou Švihov a okolí, věnovánou jak historickým, tak přírodním zajímavostem. Má 20 zastavení a je rozdělena na vnitřní a vnější okruh (po 10 tabulích na každý okruh).
