★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vznik města je svázán s existencí hradu, založeného na počátku 13. století. Starší hradní zástavbu dnes svou velikostí a krásou zastiňuje tzv. Nové stavení Adamovo z roku 1587 s renesančními stropy a nástěnnými malbami. V polovině 17. století byl Jindřichův Hradec po Praze druhým největším městem v Čechách. Z té doby pochází většina měšťanských domu, dochovaných v historickém centru. Z církevních památek nelze opomenout gotický chrám Nanebevzetí Panny Marie. Jindřichův Hradec proslul mimo jiné i výrobou unikátních tapiserií.
The origin of the town is connected with the existence of the castle, founded at the beginning of the 13th century. Today, the older castle buildings are overshadowed by the size and beauty of the so-called New Adamovo Building from 1587 with Renaissance ceilings and murals. In the middle of the 17th century, Jindřichův Hradec was the second largest city in Bohemia after Prague. Most of the burgher houses preserved in the historic center date from that time. The Gothic church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary cannot be neglected from the church monuments. Jindřichův Hradec is famous, among other things, for the production of unique tapestries.

We were first in Hradec Králové. This city has totally taken us away. It has a great atmosphere, a lot of historical places, cafes and restaurants :-) We will definitely go back there!
