BÚ sídlí od 60. let v zámku v Průhonicích a od té doby je také správcem parku.
The CA has been based in the castle in Průhonice since the 1960s and since then it has also been the park administrator.

The Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic has been based in Průhonice Castle since 1962, when it was transformed by the Geobotanical Laboratory of Biological Institutes of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences. It also manages one of the largest (third in the world) collection of cones of coniferous trees, seeds, deciduous trees and wood samples. The entrance to the administration building is in close proximity to the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary - a wonderful place that still (at least remotely) breathes with Romanesque architecture. Botanický ústav Akademie věd ČR sídlí v průhonickém zámku od roku 1962, kdy vznikl transformací Geobotanické laboratoře Biologických ústavů ČSAV. Spravuje i jednu z největších (třetí na světě) sbírek šišek a semen jehličnatých dřevin, semen, plodů listnatých dřevin a vzorků dřeva. Vstup do administrativní budovy najdete v těsném sousedství kostela Narození Panny Marie - jde o nádherné místo, které pořád (alespoň vzdáleně) dýchá románskou architekturou.
