It was built as a Baroque new building in the 17th century on the initiative of the Jesuit Order. Significant landmark of Klatovy. The towers are rebuilt to their present form at the beginning of the 19th century.

Dá se do něj pouze nahlédnout dveřmi s mizerným výhledem. U kostela jsem tento přístup nečekal. The beautifully renovated church, both inside and out, can unfortunately be visited only with an explanation of the guide as a circuit of Klatovy catacombs. It can only be seen through a door with a lousy view. I did not expect this approach at the church.

Tato nádherná stavba je připomínkou jednoho z nejdůležitějších klášterů u nás.Své kořeny zde má i louhování kůže… Amazing building. H	Hana Zajickova on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kostel je po rekonstrukci prenadherny. Absolvovali jsme prohlidku s pani pruvodkyni a jsme nadseni. Jak vykladem tak barokem. The church is beautiful after reconstruction. We took a tour with the guide and we are excited. Both interpretation and baroque.

Z mně neznámého důvodu je cedule která na toto upozorňuje schovaná v uzavřeném kostele.Do kostela se s průvodkyní vstupuje přes reflektář. Krásně opraveno . The church is after reconstruction, normal admission CZK 70. Tickets can be purchased at the catacombs on the other side of the building. You can pay by card. For a reason unknown to me, the sign pointing out this is hidden in a closed church. The church is entered through the reflector with a guide. Beautifully repaired.
R	Radko Centrum of Culture and Entertainment on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ V létě 2021 byli dokončeny rozsáhlý rekonstrukce nejenom na fasádě z venku ale taky ve vnitř. Jen je škoda že povoleny vstupy budou opět až na Jaře 2022. Jinak ve vnitř už předtym to bylo hodně pěkný a tak určitě se oplatí tento docela velkéj kostel navštívit. Počítám že budou opět prohlídky města Klatovy včetně Jezuitskeho kostela Klatovy. In the summer of 2021, extensive reconstructions were completed not only on the facade from the outside but also inside. It's just a pity that the entrances will be allowed again until the Spring of 2022. Otherwise, inside it was already very nice inside, so it is definitely worth visiting this quite large church. I reckon that there will be tours of the town of Klatovy again, including the Jesuit Church of Klatovy.
