Název hory byl odvozen z původního porostu, který byl tvořen jedlemi prostoupenými smrky. Na Jedlové žije řada ohrožených živočišných druhů. Na úpatí hory pracovaly také dvě sklářské hutě, na jižním úpatí se nachází bývalý pískovcový lom. Na vrcholu najdete rozhledna z roku 1891, výletní restaurace a pomník básníka Friedricha Schillera. Pohodlný výstup po širokém dřevěném schodišti, jen závěrečné cca 3 metry na ochoz jsou dostupné po úzkém kovovém kruhovém schodišti. Při dobré viditelnosti možno spatřit Krkonoše - Sněžku, Ještěd, Říp, Milešovku, Klíč, vysílač v Ústí n.L. Polsko i Německo... Opening hours July - August 9 am - 9 pm Rest of the year 9 am - 6 pm. Cesta dobrá, v zimě určitě nezaparkujete na parkovišti pod hradem. Beautiful place, so the time was not completely good for me, but it was worth it .. I went there from the castle to the red and then back again ... The road is good, in winter you certainly do not park in the parking lot under the castle.
