★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Na Resselově náměstí stojí na kamenném podstavci bronzová socha chrudimského rodáka Josefa Ressela , vynálezce lodního šroubu. Pomník na nějž bylo dlouho sbíráno, byl předán veřejnosti v červnu roku 1924. Je dílem sochaře Ladislava Šalouna, který vybral i jeho umístění.
A bronze statue of Josef Ressel, a native of Chrudim, the inventor of the propeller, stands on a stone pedestal on Ressel Square. The monument, which was collected for a long time, was handed over to the public in June 1924. It is the work of sculptor Ladislav Šaloun, who also chose its location.
