I went to flute and piano here and I learned both. I had 3 teachers on the flute, 1 of whom ran away, 1 was excellent and 1 was terrible, who slapped me for mistakes. I also had 3 teachers on the piano, 2 of which were awful and one great. The first teacher didn't teach me much, so I started again with the next one. With the second teacher, I learned the scales, chords, and overall playing the piano. He left after a year and a half because he had his own concerts and this club had extra income. The 3rd teacher was terrible, he didn't teach me anything new and we stayed with 2 songs for 4 months. No scales and no chords that I really use. In addition, this teacher didn't think anything good about the previous teacher, so he wanted to teach me from the very beginning. He had a terrible approach to learning and I don't understand how he could have been teaching for so long. At the beginning he told me how talented I was and that if I needed to explain something, I should always tell him. When we threw ourselves into the first song, I was surprised by the tempo at which I was supposed to play the song. The teacher always just told me to play slow or medium. He has NEVER played me a song at the pace I should play. He explained only in words. We used a metronome once and he told me I was playing it as badly as if I didn't have that metronome. So we threw the metronome in the corner and again I just played according to words. When I asked the teacher something, he scolded me for learning to play it myself. When I told the teacher that I also had a problem with the previous teacher joining 2 hands together, he replied that I should stop playing the piano. Really great approach. After 4 months, I stopped playing the piano at this club. Two stars for only two teachers who taught me to play both instruments. If you are thinking about learning to play musical instruments here, leave this club as a last resort if you can't find anything else in your area. I would rather commute through the whole of Prague somewhere where he really knows how to teach and the teachers are stable than to be as close as in this case and out of 6 teachers to have only 2 good ones and each of them taught me the instrument from the beginning. The worst part is that teachers are constantly changing and mostly new ones are getting worse.
