The inconspicuous chapel stands a bit on the side of Úštěk's center on the former cemetery in the Českolipské suburb, but if you are walking to see Pilgrimage Place in Ostré or Helfenburg castle, and you go from the Úštěk´s square following the eastern direction, you will walk around it. Definitely worth at least a short stop. The chapel is documented as early as 1494, but the building was remarkably rebuilt in the 16th century advanced Renaissance style. The area was completed with a fencing wall with a renaissance half-circular vault gate from 1635. Another shallow niche chapel was built in the wall in 1721, when there was probably a small modification of the main chapel itself. After the restoration of the cemetery from the town in the 19th century, the original area remained preserved. At the turn of the 1960s and 1970s, the chapel was adapted to a mourning hall, where the site of the former cemetery was modified.
