Anny byla postavena v roce 1744 z vděčnosti, že během válek o rakouské dědictví bylo město roku 1742 uchráněno před vydrancováním francouzskými vojsky, před Dolní městskou branou na rozcestí na severovýchodním okraji města Loket (Elbogen). V průběhu 2. poloviny 20. století však pouze částečně udržovaná kaple, devastovaná provozem sousední frekventované silnice, postupně zchátrala. V roce 2012 proto přistoupilo město Loket k rekonstrukci zchátralého objektu. Late Baroque Chapel of St. Anne was built in 1744 in gratitude that during the Austrian heritage wars the city was saved in 1742 from being defeated by the French troops, in front of the Lower Town Gate at the crossroads on the northeast outskirts of Loket (Elbogen). During the second half of the 20th century, however, only a partially maintained chapel, devastated by the operation of a neighboring busy road, gradually collapsed.
