★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kapli sv. Jana Nepomuckého nechala mezi lety 1750–1752 ve východní části horního hradu vybudovat Anna Barbora ze Sanningu, manželka Jana Ludvíka Harbuval-Chamaré (1701–1764). V roce 1754 nechala rovněž vystavět z městečka na hrad křížovou cestu, vycházející od kostela sv. Vavřince, která z části sledovala původní přístupovou cestu k hradu. Vyvrcholením těchto aktivit byla výstavba kaple Svatých schodů ve svahu mezi dolním nádvořím a parkánem horního hradu mezi lety 1762–1766, která je dnes vůbec nejlépe dochovaným objektem potštenského hradu. V roce 1762 kaple vyhořela, byla záhy opravena, ale v průběhu 19. století se bohužel změnila ve zříceninu. V roce 1831 byla opravena a nově zasvěcena sv. Janovi Nepomuckému.
Chapel of st. John of Nepomuk (the Chapel of the Holy Stairs) was built between 1750 and 1752 in the eastern part of the upper castle by Anna Barbora of Sanning, wife of Jan Ludvík Harbuval-Chamaré (1701–1764). In 1754 she also built a Stations of the Cross from the town to the castle, starting from the Church of Sts. Vavřinec, which partially followed the original access road to the castle. The culmination of these activities was the construction of the Chapel of the Holy Stairs on the slope between the lower courtyard and the upper castle moat between 1762–1766, which is the best preserved building in Potštejn Castle today. In 1762 the chapel burned down and was soon repaired, but unfortunately it turned into a ruin during the 19th century. In 1831 it was repaired and newly consecrated to St. John of Nepomuk.
