A beautiful residential house stands on the site of former Romanesque Church of St. Prokop, rebuilt early Baroque in 1689-93 apparently according to the project of Francesco Lurago. After the church's abolition in 1782, Ignác Jan Nepomuk Palliardi rebuilt the object to a residential house and in 1873 it was reconstructed and built by the architect František Václavík with the third floor added. According to Hájek's chronicle, the church is mentioned as early as 1213 in the territory of the Maltese jurisdiction. It probably had a courtyard and a cemetery next in the neighbourhood. The building is documented in written sources in 1346. Today's house preserves the external shape of the rebuilt church.

We came in after her written hours but were greeted with a friendly smile. She makes beautifully hand crafted model sizes of famous Prague buildings, Christmas ornaments, potery, and more. All of her products are of great quality unlike the cheap souvenirs on the Main Street. She also has a bin full of discounted last items if you are shopping on a budget! Definitely a great stop for authentic souvenirs.
