Originally, the Roman Catholic Temple was the seat of the Capuchin Order in Kněžská Street and is the second oldest Capuchin monastery in Czech. For the establishment of the Capuchin convent a suitable place was sought, preferably on the outskirts of the city in a sparsely built-up area. That is why the choice was made on the Kněžská Street, where a number of burgher houses remained in ruins from the fire that hit the city of 1579. The foundation stone was laid in June 1615. The church was completed in 1620 and it was ordained on February 1, 1621. Within the framework of the Josephine reforms the Convent was abolished in 1788. The church was closed for more than 15 years. In 1804 it was re-opened for worship. In 1843-1844 it was classically modified, and from 1988 the temple became the property of the South Bohemian Philharmonic Orchestra, which adapted it to Otakar Jeremias concert hall.

Dnes jsme měli tu čest (sbor Svatobor) si zazpivat v této síni Rybovu mši s místní filharmonií. Super prostor a zážitek.
Today we had the privilege (Svatobor choir) to sing in this hall the Fish Mass with the local Philharmonic. Super space and experience.

There's no air conditioning, so when you're at a social event, it's pouring out of you. Perhaps in a year they will do the reconstruction that the lady told us there.

Pěkná síň, není příliš velká, krásné varhany. Dřevěné židle dotváří slavnostní dojem.
Nice hall, not too big, beautiful organ. Wooden chairs complete the festive impression.
