Jen stručně zde uvedu, kdo to vlastně byl, protože kostelů jemu zasvěcených je poměrně hodně.
František Serafinský, též František z Assisi (vlastním jménem Giovanni Battista Bernardone), žil na přelomu 12. a 13. století. Dožil se prý 44 let. Byl mnich, zakladatel žebravého řádu františkánů a mystik. Byl proslulý vedením jednoduchého a přísně asketického života.
O jeho životě vzniklo a traduje se bezpočet historek, které jsou skoro všechny ... (no jak to kulantně říci) pěkně vybarvené. Trochu mi to připomíná našeho Jana Nepomuckého.

Let me just briefly mention who he was, because there are quite a lot of churches dedicated to him.
František Serafinský, also Francis of Assisi (Giovanni Battista Bernardone), lived at the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries. He said he lived 44 years. He was a monk, founder of the mendicant order of Franciscans and mystics. He was famous for leading a simple and strictly ascetic life.
Countless stories have been written about his life, and almost all of them ... (well, as you say it) nicely colored. It reminds me a little of our John of Nepomuk.
